The 1940s census results went live last month, so if you haven’t yet, ask your grandparents their address and look them up! Unfortunately for me, my nanny’s small town doesn’t have much fun information available, so I got my kicks from the blog information available. For the 1940s census, more than 1000 people were asked to propose questions. Of those rejected for the final census, “If unmarried, are you a virgin?” and “Do you own a bible? (source)” How risqué!
